Tour

See Annotyze in action.

Nine everyday flows, screen by screen. Every screen below is a live replica of the app — try the interactive one on the home page.

Flow 1

Getting started

From first launch to your first photo — and the tabs waiting for what you add.

1Welcome

Open Annotyze for the first time and tap Get Started.

2Allow photo access

Annotyze reads your library so you can pick photos. It never uploads them or changes the originals.

3An empty library

Home starts empty, with an Add Image button and + in the tab bar.

4Take or choose a photo

Tap + to take a photo with the camera or choose one from your library — or press and hold the Annotyze icon on your Home Screen. A new photo is saved to Photos first.

5Your first photo

It opens ready to mark, named after its file. Rename it any time from the ⋯ menu.

6Tags, as you go

The Tags tab fills in as you tag Annotes, ready to browse by tag.

7Albums, when you want them

Create an album any time to group photos — references only, never copies.

Flow 2

Mark your first spot

From a photo in your library to a saved, searchable Annote in under a minute.

1Open a photo

Pick any photo. The glass dock shows your shape tools and how many Annotes the photo has.

2Tap to place

Tap or drag on the photo. The new Annote opens with a soft border and grips, ready to adjust.

3Describe it

Tap + in the dock — or + in any list. Write metadata, a tag and a note; they save together.

4It becomes a marker

Close it and the Annote tucks into a small marker. Tap the marker any time to Peek.

Flow 3

Revisit and refine

Open an Annote from its marker, reshape it with confidence, and decide whether to keep the change.

1Peek

Tap a marker. A glass callout shows the latest detail and a count of everything else.

2Look

Tap the callout. The Annote grows back to full size with its badges and grips.

3Move it

Drag the shape. The rest of the photo frosts so you can focus on the subject.

4Keep or undo

Tap ✓ to save the new spot, or ✕ to put it back exactly where it was. Until then, only delete stays available.

5Stacked markers

Markers that sit close together stack into one with a count. Tap it for one bubble with a row per Annote — tap a row to open just that one.

Flow 4

Let AutoDetect trace it

Skip the drawing. Annotyze finds subjects on-device and traces their real outlines.

1See what's detectable

Press and hold the photo. Every subject AutoDetect can trace glows.

2Tap the subject

Choose AD and tap. The traced outline flashes, then becomes an editable freeform Annote.

3Add what you know

Give it a tag or a note, and it's saved — just like any other Annote.

Flow 5

Organize and find

Your tags, albums and search turn a camera roll into a library you can actually use.

1Your library

Home shows every photo you've annotated, with a count of Annotes on each.

2Browse by tag

The Tags tab lists every tag. Tap one to see each photo that carries it.

3Search with scope

Search all your text, or narrow to Tags, Metadata or Notes.

4When nothing matches

Search says so plainly — try another word or a wider scope.

5Group into albums

Collect photos into named, reorderable albums — references only, never copies.

6An album's story

Tap the clock in an album: one row per photo, dated when it joined. Open a row to see that photo's own history, with its original dates.

Flow 6

Work in bulk

Select many at once — photos on Home, or Annotes on a photo.

1Select photos

Long-press a tile to start selecting, then add them to an album or delete them.

2Select Annotes

Choose Multi-Select from the ⋯ menu, then tap Annotes — each previews its data. Add the same tag to all, or delete them together.

3Review the history

Open the timeline to see every change, newest first.

Flow 7

Copy to another photo

Carry your Annotes onto a newer photo of the same scene — same spots, all their data.

1Choose the photo

From the ⋯ menu choose Copy Annotes to… (or Copy Selected Annotes to… while multi-selecting), then pick a photo in Annotyze, choose one from your library, or take one.

2Keep or reset the dates

See where every Annote will land, then keep their original dates or start them today. Tap Copy — the original isn't changed.

3Done

Annotyze says how many were copied. In Profile you can have a fully copied original removed from Annotyze, and choose when the new photo opens.

4History that came with it

A copy's timeline shows when it was copied, with the history it brought tucked underneath — tap to open it.

Flow 8

Combine two photos

Two records of the same scene, each with part of the work — merge them into one.

1Select both

Long-press a photo on Home, tap the second, then tap Combine.

2Choose the one to keep

Tap the photo to keep, then Combine. The other photo's Annotes move onto it at the same spots, with their dates.

3Review

Tap the eye to lay the other photo over this one, then move, resize or delete any Annote. Cancel leaves both photos as they were.

4Finish

Finish asks first, then removes the other photo from Annotyze — never from Photos — and passes its albums to this one.

Flow 9
