What's New

How Annotyze™ has grown.

Annotyze is in private beta ahead of its App Store release. Here's every milestone so far — newest at the top, just like an Annote's timeline in the app.

A glass & monochrome redesign

Annotyze now looks and feels at home on iOS 26 — floating Liquid Glass panels, a black-and-white interface that lets your photos supply the color, and editing that's more precise and more forgiving.

  • Privacy Policy in the appProfile → Legal → Privacy Policy shows exactly what Annotyze keeps on your device and what it never does — readable offline.
  • Album timelineSee an album's whole story: when each photo joined, and each photo's own history underneath with its original dates.
  • Combine two photosMerge two records of the same scene: the Annotes move onto the photo you keep, you check them with an overlay of the other photo and adjust anything, then Finish. The other photo leaves Annotyze, never Photos.
  • Cluster PeekTap a stack of markers for one bubble with a row per Annote, then open just the one you want.
  • Copy Annotes to another photoCarry every Annote — or a selection — onto another photo at the same spots, keeping or resetting their dates. A copy's timeline tucks the history it brought under one "Annote Copied" row.
  • After copyingTwo Profile settings: remove a fully copied original from Annotyze (never from Photos), and choose when the photo you copied to opens.
  • Take a photoTap + and Take Photo — or press and hold the Annotyze icon on your Home Screen — to capture something and mark it right away. It's saved to your Photos library first, then opens ready to annotate.
  • Photo sizeChoose Small, Medium or Large photo tiles in Profile — for Home, Albums and Tags alike.
  • Cleaner selectionThe open Annote has a soft border that fades into the photo and no handles to aim for — drag anywhere on the edge to resize, guided by four built-in grips. The photo frosts while you drag.
  • Your selection colorPick the color of the border and handles in Profile — eight presets or any color you like.
  • Confirm or undoMoves and resizes wait for your ✓, with everything else paused until you decide. ✕ — or picking another Annote — puts the shape back.
  • Glass dock & tab barControls float over a full-height photo in Liquid Glass, swapping between shape tools and one compact row of Annote actions. Add data from the dock or straight from any Tags, Metadata or Notes list.
  • Monochrome everywhereA calm black-and-white palette, with red kept only for deleting. Glass data badges and outline icons throughout.
  • A new home headerThe Annotyze mark, glass header buttons, and a consistent header on every tab.
  • Newest-first timelineAn Annote's history now opens on its latest change.
  • Badges beside the shapeData counts now sit just outside the Annote, so the area you marked stays clear.
  • Build info in ProfileProfile shows the exact version and build you're running.

The first Annotes

The foundation: tap-to-place ellipse and rectangle Annotes with independent-edge handles, three kinds of annotation data, bullseye markers and a per-Annote timeline — all stored privately on-device.
